The Story of God’s people, under His blessing, returning to the land, rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, reinvigorating worship, re-reading the Book of the Law and yet finding themselves once again in the same pattern of faith not fully lived out, trust to a degree and obedience to the Lord countered with desires of the flesh set this part of the Story as prime place for the telling of the story within The Story, the account of the coming of the Lord Himself not merely to rule His people, but to redeem them.
