David is old and dying. Before he dies he passes on a charge to his son Solomon. Solomon responds with humility to the charge and when asked by God what he wants most, answers by asking God for wisdom. God answers his request but gives him great wealth, power and His blessing as well. Israel enters its golden years, but then, sin shows up. Solomon doesn’t sin and fall in a short time like his father, David, but slowly gives into the pressure to follow other gods. Solomon who started so strong, now fades away and ends badly!
